My Dad who HATED religion went to a few Memorials and everyone he said Hey someone gives me a glass of Wine to drink ....how can I say No!!!!!

Everytime I panicked Is he Going to Drink The Wine???

He never did................Damn Today I wish he did!!!!!!!!

Today my Dad's mind is GONE!!! And all of a sudden I wish He did what He Believed!!!

He was so understanding to a family that was totally fucked up!!!

How to remain sane while being a hypocrite?

as time goes on i find it a real challenge to keep my sanity while still in "the truth" especially after considering all the rsearch i have been doing about the org.

that i have been very active in for almost 4 decades.

i have managed to be removed as an elder while staying in good standing (prayers-reading,mic carring etc.

It's all up to you my friend ...no one can give you advice what to do...

... and wanted to disrupt sites like this one and activities of 'apostates' in general, what would i do?.

would i send apologists who were obviously on the side of the wts to spew out the typical wts message, ones that would be quickly labelled and disagreed with?

maybe ... it would get people riled up.

there were a couple that scared the &*^% out of me.

the old twilight zone where the little demon guy was on the airplane wing was really scary.

remember the story of the ark of the covenant on the wagon and it started to fall and one of the men grabbed it so as not to have it fall on the ground and it's contents spill on the ground...... what happened...oh yeah jah stuck him dead!!

for touching it.... i remember the wts saying it was disrespectful to have it on a wagon..... so much for slow to anger lol!.

i saw jehovah witnesses today and actually had a panic attack !!

i saw them in the distance going door to door , (about 6 of them plus child in pushchair ) i knew i had to walk past them but started panicking !

i was thinking please dont speak to me or i will explain why im not interested in your religion , i left my town to get away from them !

due to my daughters sexual abuse by a ex min servant who had abused others in the congregation also but had never been reported !

I'm not afraid of them anymore but have to admit....

When I see them I do get a sudden Chill run up my back a PANIC overcomes me only for a second then....that turns to Pure Hatred (If they are JW's I know)

I also moved out of my Territory (We sound like Cowboys) so when they come by they are strangers...

I simply say Not interested and close the door.

With what you went thru... it is understandable your feelings of Panic attack.

I'm sure anyone would say that is normal..... They are reminders of the past and past abuse.....

Remember you're out and they can't disrupt your life anymore...

Hopefully it will get better!

The Smell of Coffee

i've returned to work, and, at the request of my long-suffering boss, am taking it slow and easy.. he has just put on a pot of joe; the aroma is overpowering.. one of my earliest memories is getting up around 5 am to share a morning cup with my papa.. i must have been around 2 or 3 at the time, because my parents separated when i was going on 4.. papa taught me to read from the maxwell house coffee can, having me read the words, good to the last drop to him each morning.. whenever i get a whiff of coffee brewing, i am taken back to those long-ago mornings in a lamplit cabin, sitting on my father's knee, sipping coffee and reading to him, basking in the glow of his praise and love.

The smell of Coffee I love it.....

My wife works in a Coffee shop and her hair when she comes home smells like French Vanilla.....

It kinda turns me on .... strange!!!

I walk into any coffee house and feel Butterflies in my Stomach... I think I'm getting turned On LOL!!

At least it's better than being turned on by the smell of Wine or Booze.... reminds me of my 1st JW wife The Stinking DRUNK LOL

JW superstitions about the memorial -

now that we are all thinking about jw memorial - i was just remembering all the silly superstitions the jws have put around this - their only holiday.

as far as i can tell, none of these are actually biblical:.

1) - it must be held only once per year.. 2) - it must be held on "nisan 14".. 3) - it must be held after sundown.. 4) - the bread must be unleavened.. 5) - the wine must be plain (not fortified) red wine.

I remember a sister who was A member of Anointed ...Wore BRIGHT RED LIP STICK and sat in the back SO EVERYONE WOULD SEE the Bright Red Lips on the Silver Holy Grail as it was passed to everyone....very Humble LOL
